What is a project?

A project is a plan or proposal for accomplishing something, that has a beginning and an end. 

Project Management is the process and activity of planning, organizing, motivating, and controlling resources, procedures and protocols to achieve specific goals in your daily problems. There are 5 phases of Project Management:

1. Project Conception

Initially there needs to be an idea for the project. The main goal of this project is to determine if the project will benefit the company overall. During this phase, a decision making team will identify if the project can realistically be completed and the goals can be met.

 

2. Project Planning

The next phase will consist of creating a plan for the project. The main goal of this phase it to outline in writing the work that needs to be performed. Our team will work together to set a schedule and calculate a budget for your company. All necessary resources will be implemented at this time. 

 

3. Project Execution

Our group will next determine what tasks are to be completed and by whom. Teams will be formed and a project manager. The teams will be assigned the responsibilities that they will be in charge of. 

 

4. Project Performance

Project managers keep track of the progress of the plan. They will make sure the project stays on schedule. When necessary they may need to adjust the schedule of any of the tasks accordingly. The main goal of the project manager is to keep the project moving and on track.

 

5. Project Close

After the project has come to an end, we perform an evaluation to focus on the highlights and success of the project management goals. We will discuss in details what the company has learned and achieved during this time frame.
